About

At the heart of our cause is the recognition that the choices we make can have a profound impact on our environment and its diverse inhabitants, including magnificent creatures like tigers.

Palm oil, a versatile ingredient used in countless products, is a subject of concern due to its production's potential impact on endangered species, particularly tigers, when grown on newly cleared rainforests in parts of Asia. This destructive practice is why we partnered with One Tree Planted planting 300+ trees in rainforests to mitigate habitat loss and biodiversity loss.

ZN African Braiding Salon

It's important to emphasize that our commitment to sustainability and ethics is rooted with our African sourcing customs too. Our products are fair-trade and handcrafted with sustainable palm oil responsibly harvested from small farms in Africa. This makes a significant difference in the ecological equation.

Oil palms are indigenous to Africa, and they have been cultivated for centuries as part of multi-cropped, sustainable small farms. Unlike the large-scale industrial plantations in some parts of Asia, these African smallholders incorporate palm oil cultivation into their traditional farming systems, preserving the surrounding ecosystems.

We often make donations to local and international conservation organizations, but it's important to note that tigers are not native to Africa. This means that when you choose products made with palm oil from our African sources, you are making an environmentally responsible choice that indirectly impacts tiger populations.

By supporting our brand, you are joining a community of conscious consumers who understand the importance of responsible sourcing. Together, we are making a positive impact on the environment, supporting communities, and ensuring a sustainable future for all.

Thank you for visiting our store and being part of the solution. Together, we can protect our planet's biodiversity and preserve the habitats of incredible creatures, even those as distant as the tigers in Asia. Choose sustainability; choose a greener future.
